LendingPad does not sell clients' information. This article explains why a borrower receives solicitation calls after a broker pulls his/her credit report.
Sometimes borrowers will receive calls after a credit report is pulled. We often receive inquiries from our broker partners to ask if LendingPad sells my client's information. The answer is no; we do not.
This is an industry issue called "Triggers Leads." Credit bureaus sell this information to 3rd-party vendors when a borrower's credit profile incurs a credit inquiry. This is not a LOS issue, so regardless of which system you pull the borrower's credit report, and if the borrower has not already opted out of pre-screen, he/she will receive these solicitation calls.
Industry organizations such as the National Association of Mortgage Brokers have been trying to ban this practice for a long time. Please see these public resources about this issue.
