The county codes have changed within the state of CT. This is for HMDA only. AUS will need to traditional county.

HMDA – COUNTY CODE ERRORS/SOLUTIONS

HMDA County Code Errors – Verbiage:

“If Census Tract is not reported NA, then the number provided must be a valid census tract number defined by the U.S. Census Bureau.”

“The reported State and County are not a valid combination. If neither State nor County were reported NA, the County must be located within the State.”

When the HMDA Report receives either of the above errors, some steps can be taken to resolve these issues.

  • Go to the Subject Property Section in LendingPad. In the County field, select a different county and save. Return to the County field, re-enter the correct County, and resave.
  • If this does not resolve the issue, go to the below site, enter the Subject Property address, and search for the correct County. Ensure that the correct County has been selected in LendingPad.

In Connecticut, there are 9 “Planning Regions” that are county-equivalent geographic areas that are used as the County for HMDA purposes. These 9 planning regions will be added to the County dropdown list in LendingPad. This will only be for HMDA purposes at this time.

This is a list of counties and their matching planning code name:

This is a list of the State and County Code by County Name: (The First two digits are the state code, and the last three digits are the county code)

This is a list of the State and County Code by Planning Region Name: (First two digits are the state code and the last three digits are the county code)

If the LendingPad County Code reflects the County Name Code rather than the Planning Region Name Code, the user will need to change the County to the correct Planning Region Name and then pull the HMDA report.
