Multi-Borrower Access in the POS
This guide walks you through how primary borrowers can invite others, how invitations can be sent from the LOS, what’s new in the interface, and some helpful tips and notes to keep in mind.
Overview
Primary borrowers can now invite additional borrowers directly when creating a new application in the Borrower Portal (POS).
On the Loan Origination System (LOS) side, users have two options:
- Add only the primary borrower if completing the application on behalf of all borrowers.
- Add all borrowers and send individual invitation links, allowing each borrower to log in and complete their own section separately.

Access & Account Notes
- Each borrower’s POS login is independent — they cannot see each other’s information.
- Borrowers receive an email after creating a file that offers the option to activate an account.
- Borrowers can choose not to activate and simply use their email, loan number, and code sent to their phone for Quick Access (this application only).
- Borrowers who activate their account with a password can log in anytime to start new applications or view all their past loans with the same lender.
Additional Information
- If a borrower does not have a U.S. mobile number or is using a foreign number, they can instead use the Sign Up option located in the top-right corner of the
- POS to create their login and access the application.
- The borrower submission date is now recorded in Loan Additional > Consumer Information. Each borrower has their own submission timestamp.
- The Invite Consumer action (found under Action in the loan toolbar across the top of the loan file) is intended only for the initial borrowers invitation.
Please avoid using it for any follow-up tasks, such as resending links later if a user forgets or loses their original invitation, to prevent duplicate invitations.
Instead, resend your personal POS link to the borrower. They can log in using their email, password or loan number, and the code sent to their phone - The SMS feature cannot currently be disabled, as it’s the primary method for borrower verification and access.
- Email templates sent to borrowers are not yet customizable.
